In 1996, Elaine “Inday” moved to Colorado due to her husband’s military assignment. She realized that Filipino foods were hard to find and very expensive in Colorado. In addition, she had to drive long trips amidst the snow only to discover
that the closest Asian store did not cater for Filipinos. Since her husband traveled to California regularly due
to his roles in the military, some of her Filipino friends in Colorado would normally ask her husband to bring Filipino groceries over with him when he
comes back from California.
When
the family transferred to California in 1999,
Elaine opened this internet grocery store called
PilipinoMart, with assistance from her niece Lyn, who helped implement this website. Their intention is to help
fellow Filipinos who have limited access to Filipino grocery and Asian
stores. In line with this, there will no longer be a reason for a Filipino consumer to travel long distance and struggle through the snowy
weather just to get to an Asian store that offers incomplete and limited selection aside from the
high prices of their merchandise. PilipinoMart is here. It will ultimately meet their
needs and provide them the availability and the convenience.

military. Looking from your list of products, there's a lot of items that
we want to order. As far as shipping, do you ship products to Turkey? We
use the military PO Box for all mails and shipping goods being a military
member. What's the price range for shipping to this location? Again,
